Articles of Association and registrations

The Certificate of Incorporation and the original Articles of Association for DEMAT were revised by the DEMAT Board on 28th September 2016, and approved by special resolution.

 

The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT) was incorporated under the Companies Act of 2006 as a Private Limited Company, number 8464996, on 27th March 2013.

 

DEMAT registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) on 18th December 2014, registration number ZA087951.

Village Saints Partnership Local Governing Body 

 

Governors are a voluntary body of people who guide and support the strategic direction of the school. They are members of the school team and their contribution to the running of the school is highly valued.

 

School Governing Body

The instrument of government states that the governing body shall consist of:

  • 2 parent governors
  • 1 local authority governor
  • 1 staff governor
  • 1 headtecaher
  • 2 co-opted governors

 

The role of the governing body is a strategic one, its key functions are to:

  • Set the aims and objectives for the school
  • Set the policies for achieving those aims and objectives
  • Set the targets for achieving those aims and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making towards achievement of its aims and objectives
  • Be a source of challenge and support to the headteacher (a critical friend)

I volunteered to become a governor at All Saints Academy as I wanted to be involved in my son’s education and was really keen to help the school achieve some of its aims, specifically around the learning and development of children.

I am currently a Senior Project Manager for a software company and I hope to bring some of my attention to detail to the role of governor and hope to support the school in being a “critical” and “supportive eye”.

Finally I want to contribute to my local community more and hope I can do this by being part of the governing body.

I am really pleased to be part of the Governing body to offer my support to the future development of the school.  I applied to be a Governor as I am looking forward to being part of my son’s school experience as he starts school in 2019. I hope to transfer some of my experience from senior communications and marketing roles within the training and further education sector. I’ve been involved in opening new specialist schools where I’ve had exposure to the strategic and educational elements of school life that I will use to benefit our school. I hope this will help to continue shaping the best learning experience for our children and the best working environment for our staff.

I am excited to be part of this new Governance Team and hope I can contribute by supporting and enhancing the Village Saints Partnership. My Son started his education Journey in 2018 and I am resolute in my support of him, his friends, teachers and the wider School Community.

I have specialised in various fields of protective security and am currently employed in the training environment. I hope my ability to think outside the box, adapt and overcome problems and hardship in high pressure situations will compliment a strong team.

Declared Interests- 

I am retired from being an NVQ assessor in the Health and Social Care sector. I volunteered to become a governor at St Martins as I would like to play an active part in helping the school achieve some of its aims, specifically around the development and learning process of children. I am a strong believer in the value and importance of a well balanced education and welcome the opportunity to help the school in any capacity I can.
