Pupil Premium Information

Pupil Premium Report 2023-2024 Pupil Premium Report 2022 - 2023

At All Saints Academy we strongly believe that all children have the right to an excellent education underpinned by outstanding quality teaching with high expectations. On that basis we are determined to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential. The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding provided by the Department for Education to enhance the education of social-economically disadvantaged pupils (namely those pupils entitled, or previously entitled, to free school meals (FSM), Looked After Children (LAC) or adopted from care).

Schools are free to decide on how best to allocate the funds for programmes to support its disadvantaged pupils.

In 2023/24, the percentage of pupils eligible for the Pupil Premium is 27% currently (23 eligible pupils).

The amount of Pupil Premium funds allocated to All Saints Academy for 2022-2023 was £37,061.

The amount allocated for the 2023-2024 academic year is £33,465.

The Pupil Premium provision is planned in an integrated and targeted manner for this academic year to ensure that those pupils entitled to the Pupil Premium receive additional support to address the identified barriers.

The next review date for the strategy will be:

15th September 2024

Sports Premium

Sports Premium Report 2023 - 2024 Sports Premium Report 2022 - 2023

Following the success of the London 2012 Olympics the government has agreed to fund primary schools for the next ten years to provide a lasting legacy from the games and develop children’s enjoyment of sport and physical activity from an early age.

At All Saints Academy, we recognise the contribution of PE and sport to the health and well-being of the children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children. Our Primary School PE and Sport’s Funding will enable us to continue and extend our provision through employing additional sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions and training our staff to deliver in-house quality PE sessions.

This means that we will use the premium to:

•develop or add to the PE and sport activities that our school already offers.

•build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

How to use the funding:

The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2023 to 2024 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.

For example, schools can use the funding to:

  • provide staff with professional development, mentoring, training and resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively.
  • hire qualified sports coaches to work with teachers to enhance or extend current opportunities.
  • introduce new sports, dance or other activities to encourage more pupils to take up sport and physical activities.
  • support and involve the least active children by providing targeted activities, and running or extending school sports and holiday clubs.
  • enter or run more sport competitions.
  • partner with other schools to run sports activities and clubs.
  • encourage pupils to take on leadership or volunteer roles that support sport and physical activity within the school.
  • provide additional swimming provision targeted to pupils not able to meet the swimming requirements of the national curriculum.

Allocation

The amount allocated to All Saints Academy 2023/2024 = £16,940 (paid in two lump sums)

"Physical education and sport premium funding is used effectively to provide a wide range of additional sporting experiences for pupils. Pupils are very proud of their sporting achievements and successes when competing with other local schools. Staff receive training to improve their skills in teaching sport".
